My Journey to a Free Croma Gift Card & Shopping Experience


 Everyone loves free rewards, and I recently managed to earn a ₹500 Croma Gift Card using Microsoft Rewards! In this blog, I’ll share my entire journey—from earning the gift card to redeeming it at Croma Sector 32A, Ludhiana—along with my shopping experience and product review

Microsoft Rewards is a fantastic way to earn points by simply searching on Bing. The points system works as follows:

  • 1 search = 3 points

  • 90 searches on PC + 30 searches on mobile daily = 150 points

  • I needed 7,840 points to redeem a ₹500 Croma Gift Card

  • How Many Days Did It Take?

    Since I could earn 150 points per day, I needed: 7,840 ÷ 150 = ~52 days

    So, in just under two months, I accumulated enough points to redeem my gift card. I received the gift card details via email, which included a 16-digit card number and a 6-digit PIN.


Activating the Gift Card

Before using the gift card, I had to activate it. The process was simple:

  • I sent an SMS in the following format:

    GCACT <16-digit Card Number> <6-digit PIN>

    to 7200666000.

  • Within minutes, I received a confirmation message that my Croma gift card was activated and ready for use.




 

 Visiting Croma Sector 32A, Ludhiana

The nearest Croma store was located about 10 km from my home. Upon reaching the store, I was amazed by the variety of premium electronic products available for experience, including: 

✅ Flip phones & high-end laptops
✅ Smart TVs, washing machines, and water purifiers
✅ Smart home devices & accessories

I explored the store and checked out different gadgets before heading to the accessories section to pick a product within my budget.



What I Purchased

Since my budget was ₹500, I carefully selected two essential accessories:

  • 18W Croma Adapter – ₹299

  • Croma Type C Data Cable – ₹199

Total cost: ₹498 (well within my budget!)

Making the Payment with the Gift Card

At checkout, I informed the cashier that I wanted to pay using my Croma Gift Card. The process was smooth:

  • The cashier asked for my gift card number & PIN.

  • After entering the details, the amount was deducted instantly.

  • I received my invoice, and the transaction was successful!

I finally owned two useful accessories for my phone, all without spending a single rupee from my pocket!

This entire experience—from earning a free ₹500 Croma Gift Card through Microsoft Rewards to successfully redeeming it at Croma Sector 32A, Ludhiana—was truly exciting. Not only did I get free accessories, but I also got to explore premium gadgets and enjoy the Croma store experience.
